pronto: Kunen Fest en Madison

El próximo mes de abril tendrá lugar el Kunen Fest en la Universidad de Wisconsin, en Madison. Será todo un festival de charlas de antiguos estudiantes de Ken Kunen y de colegas suyos (incluidos Keisler y Todorcevic). Dos lógicos bogotanos tuvimos la suerte de ser alumnos doctorales de Kunen.

K. Kunen is one of the major living mathematicians. His work in set theory, set-theoretic topology and theoretical computer science is of the highest standard of quality. Among his major theorems are his invention of iterated ultrapowers, his constructions of S and L spaces and a fine understanding of large cardinals, including the famous Kunen’s theorem on the nonexistence of an elementary embedding from V to V.
