Bogotá Meeting in Model Theory

Grupo de Lógica de Bogotá
Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Mathematics Department - 405-202

Bogotá, December 10 to 14, 2001

The Bogotá Model Theory Meeting is devoted centrally (though not excusively) to Model Theory for Non Elementary Classes. The main aim of the meeting is to exchange information on the current status of Model Theory for Non Elementary Classes and connection between this and other areas in Model Theory.

The meeting is sponsored partially by Colciencias (Grupos y Centros de Investigación) and Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Programa Semilleros de Investigación).

Speakers

The following speakers have confirmed their intention of participating:

Tutorial

The meeting will be preceded by an advanced tutorial on Model Theory for Non Elementary Classes by Rami Grossberg (December 5 to 8, 10 am - 1 pm 405-202).

Talks and Lectures

In the mornings, there will be one or two one-hour lectures (on model theory for non elementary classes and also more general connected topics)

Discussions

In the afternoons, starting at 2:30 pm, we will hold discussions on more specific issues in the subject. Here is the plan for these discussions. There is one subject per afternoon, and one responsible person each session. We expect the discussion to start prompted by the first talk in the afternoon. Here is the plan:
